Peggy's artistic statement
I’ve always had a natural ability for drawing. It grew and expanded into painting – first in oil, then gouache and now with acrylic.
Because acrylic dries so fast, I don’t have to wait and lose my concentration or train of thought.
One way I express myself through art is painting a series dealing with the same topic. I prefer to think through a series when there are too many ideas for one work of art.
I aspire to draw and paint so naturally that my concentration can be devoted to the most important aspects of art: thought, emotion and content.
Even with a small success, the struggle to solve the infinite problems of composition is worth the effort.
